The Chicago Independent Radio Project is working to secure a broadcast license for a new community radio station in Chicago that is committed to local, independent programming, and generally furthering the causes of localism, diversity, and independence in broadcasting. We are working to convince Congress and the FCC to remove existing barriers to the granting of low power FM radio licenses in urban areas, including Chicago. We hope you'll join the fight.

Have you been thinking of clearing out your closets or basement and getting rid of that old vinyl collection? We have a solution! You can donate all your unwanted records to the Chicago Independent Radio Project. Free up some space and help bring a new community radio station to Chicago! We can even arrange pick-ups. If you’d like to donate your vinyl to CHIRP, please email chirprecordfair@ gmail.com.

We promise not to judge you for all those Herb Alpert and Loggins & Messina records.
